What is a solar thermal hot water system and how does it work?
Collectors (or plates) are installed on your roof positioned to best absorb the sun’s rays. The collectors are filled with a liquid that is heated during daylight hours. This heated liquid is then pumped back into your house and into an insulated hot water tank. The liquid heats up the hot water in your tank, which immediately becomes available for use and is stored until hot water is needed.
